(tylko po angielsku) Andrzej Łęcki is a historical linguist specializing in Old and Middle English. He has a long-term interest in the theory of grammaticalization. He has worked with Jerzy Nykiel on the project whose aim is to account for the development of purpose subordinators of the form preposition+NP+that beginning with Old English. The project has resulted in a number of international conference presentations and a few articles. Andrzej Łęcki is currently preparing a book on the development of purpose subordinators introducing negative purpose clauses in the history of the English language.
Among the linguistic courses that he has taught are Historical grammar of the English language, Semanto-syntax, Morphology, Contemporary linguistic theories and Phonetics and phonology.
