Skrócony opis: |
The aim of the course is to help student acquire the skills of quoting, paraphrasing, summarising, synthesizing, reference-making (according to APA/MLA guidelines), following appropriate diploma paper style of academic texts writing in accordance with worldwide standards for published research. |

Students learn and practice how to follow APA or MLA style in the field of references, paraphrase and quotation. Do different exercises on style of writing; learn how to synthesize. Training includes individual work, pair work, peer feedback, teacher feedback. |

Knowledge Student knows: 1. methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and culture products, within selected traditions, theories and research schools in linguistics, literature and culture studies (k-W-1), 2. rules of the protection of intellectual and industrial copyright and the form of development of individual entrepreneurship (k-W-7) Skills Student can: 3. recognize texts and carry out their critical analysis and interpretation with the use of APA/MLA standards (k-U-2) 4. document used outside sources choosing APA/MLA style (k-U-9) 5. plan and organize individual and team work (k-U-7) Social competences Student can: 6. critically assess their philological knowledge and recognize the importance of knowledge of the language in solving cognitive practical problems (k-K-1) 7. cooperate with others in a team, assuming various roles (k-K-2) 8. be well-organized and reliable as regards assignments (k-K-5). |
