Course description This course introduces students to the basics of creative writing via free exploration of different genres and their own writing processes. Learners develop their composing and creative thinking skills by completing writing projects (individually and in groups), participating in group activities focused on collaboration and co-authoring, and formulating non-linear ideas and solutions. |
| Pełny opis: |
Course objectives: This course aims to develop students’ creative writing skills through projects that encourage the utilization of lateral thinking, self-exploration, and (co)creation of original discourse. Learners complete these projects gradually over a series of worksheets that provide ample room for individual task interpretation and flexibility in the writing process. Course content: • Prewriting and brainstorming techniques • Deriving inspiration from common objects • Creating characters – writing unique dialogue • Fleshing out a short story – establishing setting, plot, conflict, and theme Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: power point presentations, group discussion, individual work, pair and group work; ICT tools – MS Teams |

| Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes: 1. Individual writing project (completed over five worksheets) – 50% of the final grade (outcomes 1, 2, and 3) 2. Group writing project (completed over five worksheets) – 50% of the final grade (outcomes 1, 2, and 3) Criteria of evaluation 60% - 3 80% - 4 100% - 5 pass at 60% of the final grade The students must submit at least three worksheets per project to receive a passing grade. |
