Course objectives: Through 60 hours of instruction (30 virtual + 30 in-person), students will: • Explore cross-cultural communication models and global negotiation strategies. • Analyze case studies of international business challenges. • Develop practical skills in multicultural teamwork, leadership, and ethical decision-making. • Learn to integrate sustainability and social responsibility into global business strategies Course content Virtual Component (30 hours) 1. Introduction to Intercultural Competence 2. Communication in Global Contexts 3. International Management 4. Global Negotiation & Conflict Resolution 5. Multicultural Team Management 6. Ethical Leadership & Sustainability 7. Ethical Leadership & Sustainability 8 Geert Hofstede model regarding the management and cultural dimension 9. Contemporary Economic Issues 10. Pre-Mobility Integration Physical Mobility (30 hours) 1. Orientation & Cultural Immersion 2. Intercultural Communication workshops 3. Leadership in Multicultural Teams workshops 4. Sustainability & Global Business Ethics - field trips 5. Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes: 1. Online Participation 20% of the final grade = Active engagement in virtual discussions and workshops 2. Reflective Essay 20% of the final grade = 800–1000 words on intercultural communication insights and sustainability considerations 3. Group Project 40%of the final grade = Development of intercultural communication strategies for a real-world business scenario, presented during mobility week 4. Peer & SelfAssessment 10% of the final grade = Evaluate collaboration, leadership, and intercultural sensitivity in team work 5. Final Presentation 10% of the final grade = Oral presentation at the conclusion of the mobility phase Grading: Pass/Fail with detailed feedback for learning development |
