Course description The course Junior Accountant in ERP focuses on expanding students' knowledge and skills in working with the registration of basic economic events using the Ms Dynamics 365 system. During the course, students also gain skills in updating their knowledge of legal regulations in force in the area of accounting of business entities. |

Course objectives The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the implementation of basic financial and accounting operations using ERP software. --------------------- Course content 1 Manage financial periods: create a fiscal calendar and fiscal year, add a fiscal year to an existing one, set up a fiscal calendar for the company, maintain periods for the organization 2 Creating posting documents: defining posting journals setup, posting the opening balance of financial accounts 3 Fixed Asset Inventory: Defining a Fixed Asset 4 Transactions related to fixed assets: acquisition, depreciation, liquidation 5 Posting orders (PO): settings, parameters 6 Posting sample POs 7 Posting documents from other modules: entering and posting an A/P invoice 8 Posting documents from other modules: entering and posting a sales invoice 9 Payroll records: payroll accounting documentation, creating a payroll journal 10 Salary posting – remuneration components and their registration on accounts 11 Sources of reliable accounting information – overview and criteria for assessing credibility 12 Examples of postings for typical business events 13 Overview of financial and accounting reports available in Dynamics 365 14 Examples of analysis and interpretation of reported information 15 Passing the course – final test ------------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity remote classes, exercises with the use of Ms Dynamics 365 software, exercises in parameterizing the settings of financial and accounting modules and the implementation of postings in the Ms Dynamics 365 system |

Learning outcomes acc to PQR 2019 Knowledge: The student knows and understands 1. technical and specialist English used in the area of accounting (k_W02/ P6S_WG) 2. principles of use and functionalities of specialized software for business accounting (k_W03/P6S_WG) 3. the basis and principles of operation of MS Dynamics 365 as an ERP class system used for executing specialized tasks in the field of accounting (m-W-1/ P6S_WK) Skills: The student is able to 4. search, analyze, select and use information in area of accounting from various sources and assess those sources relevance and trustworthiness (m-U-1/P6S_UW) 5. perform tasks related to the registration of economic events using ERP software (m-U-3/ P6S_UW) 6. use appropriate IT tools to register economic events typical for running a business(m-U-2/ P6S_UW) Social competences: The student is ready to 7. perform the assigned tasks within the time limit (k_K02/ P6S_KR) 8. take action to improve the quality of their work in the area of accounting (k_K07/ P6S_KR) |

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes 1. Active participation - 50% of the final grade (outcome: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) 2. Final test - 50% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4) pass at 60% of the final grade |
