(tylko po angielsku) This course is a continuation of Specialist research 1 on applied linguistics and its practical implementation in teaching (e.g. first and second language learning and teaching processes). Primary attention is given to the analysis and interpretation of research studies’ results. no of ECTS: 2 2 ECTS points: 30h of classes, 15h of consultations and 15h of preparation to the classes |

(tylko po angielsku) Students are familiarised with the research studies within the scope of their research projects. They are able to specify their research objectives, compare and contrast them with other research studies. Students analyse their research studies’ results and arrive at adequate interpretation of the data. Course content depends on the themes selected by the students to research within the scope of applied linguistics. |

(tylko po angielsku) Effects acc to PRK KNOWLEDGE: 1. s-W-1 the student has the ordered knowledge of the English language at C2 level; knows the lexical-grammatical and stylistic rules of the English language, and the rules of the selection of means for expressing specific types of information 2. s-W-2 the student has the knowledge of literary linguistic terminology, with the focus on Second Language Acquisition theories. SKILLS 3. s-U-1 the student has the ability to search for, analyze, select and use information utilizing various sources and methods. 4. s-U-2 the student is able to use the English language in writing and speaking with relative fluency, accuracy and communication efficiency in a wide range of academic topics SOCIAL COMPETENCES 5. s-K-1 the student can specify the priorities for the implementation of their goals and tasks designated by others 6. s-K-2 the student shapes their own views on the basis of the gained general and detailed knowledge |
