- helping students achieve fluency in discussing various topics concerning business life and to enable them to express and exchange ideas concerning various issues - familiarizing students with certain terms, idiomatic expressions and grammatical constructions which aim at improving their ability to express themselves well - improving speaking, listening, reading skills by introducing specific vocabulary and grammatical forms at C1 level |

Knowledge Graduate knows: 1. English at C1 level, as regards grammatical, lexical and stylistic rules of correct uses of English, knows the rules of organizing a text in English as well as rules of holding a conversation on various topics in business situations (k-W-1) Skills Graduate can: 2. comprehend and analyze spoken and written texts in English (relative to C1 level) to identify the general point/attitude and to find specific information in authentic business texts (k-U-4) 3. select appropriate strategies to do different types of tasks (k-U-2) 4. use spoken and written English (relative to C1 level) correctly, fluently and effectively to discuss a variety of contemporary world and business topics and comment on written or heard content (k-U-6) 5. independently plan and carry out his/her own learning within the self-study time (k-U-8) Social competences Graduate: 6. is confident in speaking in English and understanding written and spoken content at C1 level (k-K-1) 7. is well-organized, reliable and disciplined as regards assignments and self-study (k-K-5) |

Form of evaluation - active participation in class: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 - preparation of assigned tasks at home – 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 - 1 test – 1,2,3,4,5, Criteria of evaluation - active participation in class - 20% - preparation of assigned tasks at home – 20% - 1 test – 60% Final mark is granted according to the following framework: Grade 2.0 (fail) – 0-59% Grade 3.0 (average) – 60-68% Grade 3.5 (plus average) – 69-74% Grade 4.0 (good) – 75-84% Grade 4.5 (plus good) – 85-92% Grade 5.0 (very good) – 93-100% |
