The task of the course is to raise student`s language fluency to level C1 (according to the criteria suggested by CEFR for languages) in regards English vocabulary. |
Pełny opis: |
Students improve their language abilities in the field of vocabulary. They learn, expand and consolidate vocabulary at C1 level by reading and listening to different types of texts and doing vocabulary exercises and using the acquired vocabulary in communication tasks of different type (whole group discussions, pair and group communication exercises). |

Knowledge Student knows: 1. English at C1 level in terms of lexical and stylistic rules of correct usage, as well as of various registers to be used appropriately to social contexts (k-W-1), 2. complexity and evolution of linguistic systems and meanings (k-W-1). Skills Student can: 3. use spoken and written English (relative to C1 level) correctly, fluently and effectively to discuss a variety of topics related to the condition of the individual in the modern society or to current issues (k-U-6). Social competences Student can: 4. fluently speak in English (at C1 level) (k-K-1), 5. cooperate with others in a team, assuming various roles (k-K-2) 6. be well-organized and reliable as regards assignments (k-K-5). |
