The main emphasis is on improving students’ confidence and competence in using English. |

(tylko po angielsku) At the completion of the course, students will be able to: Use academic listening strategies: prediction, identification of main ideas and specific details, note-taking Verbally connect ideas in paragraph like discourse Find the meaning of new and academic vocabulary in context and extend that meaning Write structured paragraphs, using topic sentences, supporting ideas and relevant evidence |

(tylko po angielsku) Students: have a proficiency in English at B2 level, know grammatical, lexical and stylistic rules of correct uses of English in academic contexts (k-W-1) know of the main methods of interpretation of specialized language (k-W-1) know the formal properties and application of various genres and conventional practices in academic communication (k-W-1, k-W-7) Skills: Students can: write a coherent essay in English, using a range of sources (k-U-6) Social competences Students: fluently speak and write in English (at B1 level) (k-K-1) cooperate with others in a team (k-K-2) are well-organized and reliable as far as group and individual work is concerned (k-K-5) |
