Course description The course School Pedagogy (classes) provides students with an opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into practice. Through interactive exercises, case studies, and group work, students learn to diagnose learners’ needs, strengthen classroom climate, deal with conflict and bullying, and apply pedagogical methods in real school contexts. |

Course objectives Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: - apply major pedagogical concepts in practical classroom settings. - recognize and address the needs of individual students and groups. - cooperate effectively with parents and the school environment. - develop and implement interactive activities that build positive group climate and prevent conflict. - adopt ethical and professional attitudes necessary for teaching practice ------------------------ Course content: 1. School and teacher – historical perspectives and their influence on current education. 2. Hidden curriculum – recognition and implications. 3. Contemporary educational trends in practice. 4. Communication and conflict-solving: listening, negotiation, non-verbal cues. 5. Cooperation with parents, institutions, and community. 6. Practical diagnosis of students’ needs and group problems. 7. Team-building exercises and creating positive classroom climate. 8. Peer bullying – roles, strategies, and interventions. 9. Assessment practices – strengths, weaknesses, and relevance. 10. Personal concept of educational work – aims, values, approaches. ---------------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: interactive exercises and group tasks, case study analysis and presentation, discussions and debates, written assignments and reflective reports, ICT tools (MS Teams) |

Forms of evalutions of learning outcomes 1. Preparation and performance of one interactive exercise + written report – 50% of the final grade (outcome 4,5,6,7) 2. Case study analysis or reflective written assignment – 50%% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3) pass at 60% of the final grade |
