Course description

The course supports the students in reaching their C1-level competence In English. Through practical language tasks focused on English grammar and formal style, the course guides students towards their Practical English Exam. Specific grammar issues are dealt with upon students' request.

Course objectives

- familiarizing students with complex structures and reviewing sentence patterns.

- preparation for C1-Level Practical English Exam with respect to the use of English

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes

1. Active participation - 45% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,4,5)

2. Final written test - 55% of the final grade (1,2,3,4,5)

Grading criteria:

60% -67% grade 3.0 (pass)

68% - 75% grade 3.5

76% - 83% grade 4.0

84% - 91% grade 4.5

92% - 100% grade 5.0
