Course description

The preparation of diploma paper is dedicated to student's BA diploma paper preparation, development and finalisation under the supervision of a designated academic in the field of literary studies, linguistics, translation studies or cultural studies.

Course objectives:

The ultimate aim of the course is to complete diploma papers following proper formal and stylistic principles and approach its defence

Course content:

1. Writing the theoretical chapters of the diploma paper

2. Writing the empirical chapters of the diploma paper

3. Revising the diploma paper following formal and stylistic principles.

4. Finilising the diploma paper.

5. Preparation for the diploma paper defence.

self-study format, writing, revising, editing, individual work supported by the supervisor

3. elements of academic discourse relating to the studied discipline relevant for their BA diploma paper (k_W07/P6S_WG)

4. principles of copyright and its protection in relation to various cultural products, in particular in the field of English philology, when paraphrasing or quoting sources in their BA diploma paper (k_W10/P6S_WK)
