Course description The course is to acquaint students with specialist theoretical and methodological knowledge within the scope of a selected diploma seminar in order to prepare them for writing a BA thesis. Students learn the style, formal requirements and theoretical concepts connected with writing BA theses, as well as broaden their knowledge in the selected field. |

Course objectives - introducing main research methods within the chosen seminar - introducting theoretical models and research paradigms - introducing the stylistic and formal guidelines for BA project writing - preparing for own research project ---------------------- Course content: 1. The main research orientations within the studied discipline 2. Theoretical models and research paradigms 3. Dominant methodologies and research procedures 4. The scope of research of the discipline 5. The issues to be explored and implications for scholarship 6. The main guidelines for framing diploma research projects ------------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: presentation, discussion, reading, material analysis, ICT tools/MSTeams |

Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes: 1. Active participation in classes and consultations - 45% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,10,11) 2. Evaluation of the style, form and content of BA theses - 55% of the final grade (outcome 4,5,6,7,8,9,10) pass at 60% of the final grade |
