Course description: Students learn about appropriate usage of language in writing, including grammatical correctness and stylistic appropriateness, as well as text organization and structuring. The course focuses on supporting students with writing a BA research paper in academic style. |

Course objectives: The course aims at developing academic writing skills necessary to skilfully write academic texts, including systematic research practices, using library sources, paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting sources to avoid plagiarism. -------------------- Course content rhetorics, levels of formality, impersonal narration, complex sentence structures BA text organization working within the BA template. ------------------ Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: writing tasks, text analysis, discussion, ICT tools/MSTeams |
