The course is aimed to increase students' knowledge in the field of demography, epidemiology and health, its protection and disease prevention. Students should be familiar with the basic concepts associated with this topic, as well as be able to discuss health issues.

The following issues are to be studied:

1. Characterization of the basic patterns of function of organism and its resistance to diseases of various origins

2. The basic principles of demography and epidemiology

3. The concepts of health care and protection

4. The key aspects of disease prevention and improvement of health of individuals and populations
