The goal is to familiarize students with the main points in the history of the development of biotechnology, its foundations, application and prospects.

The following issues will be studied:

- the history of biotechnology development;

- basics of biotechnology;

- basic elements of biotechnology;

- industries that use biotechnology;

- prospects for the development of biotechnology.
