Introduce students to advanced knowledge in soil science and the processes occurring within it; Familiarize students with soil classification criteria and develop the ability to recognize soil types in the field and determine their agricultural suitability; Develop the ability to interpret soil laboratory analysis results and discuss them in the context of relevant scientific literature applicable in practice. |

Knowledge: Understands research methods and techniques used in analyzing the physical, chemical, and biophysical properties of soils. Knows and interprets the relationships between abiotic and biotic processes influenced by climatic and geological-morphological conditions in shaping soil properties. Has advanced knowledge of lithospheric processes and accurately describes the processes leading to soil formation. Skills: Can assess the suitability of methods and tools used to solve basic soil science tasks, including soil fertility assessment. Reads professional literature with comprehension and applies it to interpret and develop laboratory analysis results. Social Competences: Able to collaborate and work effectively in a team. Takes responsibility for the safety of their own work and that of others. Can present reports on both independent and team-based work. |
