1,2 ECTS – 30 hours of preparation for before and after class-exercises

1 ECTS - 25 hours of preparation for in-class discussion

Development of skills in independently defining and solving research problems, both individually and in group collaboration; Acquisition of skills in interpreting research results and discussing them in the context of national and international scientific literature; Acquisition of skills in scientific paper writing and editing.

Knowledge: Understands and interprets the relationships between abiotic and biotic processes, as well as the impact of anthropogenic factors on the environment.

Skills: Reads professional literature with comprehension and applies it to interpret and develop laboratory analysis results.

Social competences: Has the ability to analyze and assess environmental threats. Can participate in discussions, present their views, and engage in an Oxford debate. Is capable of using source materials and preparing a research project on solutions to environmental threats.

Active participation in classes and discussions, including the Oxford debate (20%).

Final presentation (research paper): "Research Project in the Field of Environmental Protection – Discussion with Relevant Literature" (80%).
