Pełny opis:

Course description:

This course explores the most pressing environmental and climate-related challenges of the 21st century, placing them within the broader context of sustainable development. Students will become familiar with the fundamental principles of sustainability and ecological responsibility, examining how modern societies impact and depend on natural systems.

Key topics include contemporary ecological threats, the causes and consequences of climate change, and the need for systemic approaches to environmental management. The course also investigates the historical and current use of both conventional and renewable energy sources, providing students with insight into energy transitions, technological innovation, and socio-political factors shaping global energy strategies.

Special attention is given to the concept of energy agriculture—its role in local and global sustainability efforts—as well as the efficient use of recyclable materials and the circular economy model. Students will be encouraged to think critically and creatively about environmental solutions that balance economic development with the protection of ecosystems and future generations.
