Course description: This course is for students who want to learn practical ways of how to function in a modern society: how to coexist with other people, even if we do not share their perspective, how to stand our own ground without intentionally hurting the opponents, and how to maneuver own life happily. The essential part of the course is students’ active participation in pair works, group works and whole group tasks. The course is for those who: are open to people and new experiences, want to establish their priorities and learn how to act in accordance with them, want to learn how to act in life successfully, want to learn how to build good relations with others. |

Course objectives: The aim of the course is to strengthen students’ proactivity in different of aspects of their life, to show them the ways of self-development, and how to act as an autonomous individual at the university and in private life. It shows how to function in a modern society: how to coexist in a group of people, even if we do not share their perspective, and how to listen empathically to others. ---------------- Course content: During the course the following aspects will be discussed and trained: 1. how to manage personal life principles 2. how to make new habits and break unwanted habits 3. how to become principle-centered - writing a personal mission statement 4. how to communicate in a more empathic way 5. how to plan everyday duties and activities effectively. ----------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: online classes, PowerPoint presentations, ICT tools: MS TEAMS, individual activity, pair and group work, discussion, |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes: 1. Active participation during classes (continuous assessment) – 30% of the final grade (outcome 1,2,3) 2. Three challenges – 70% of the final grade (outcome: 1,2,3,4) To get a credit students need to pass all challenges. Marks are granted according to the following framework: grade 2,0 (fail): 0–49% grade 3,0 (average): 50–59% grade 3,5 (plus average): 60–69% grade 4,0 (good): 70–79% grade 4,5 (plus good): 80–89% grade 5,0 (very good): 90–100% |
