Skrócony opis:	The goal of this course is to improve students' language fluency at C1 level in correlation to the usage of vocabulary and structures characteristic of more formal language registers.
Pełny opis:	The main purpose of the course is to improve the students’ C1-level competence. Through practical analysis of exam-oriented tasks with reference to the structures and vocabulary of English, the course guides the students towards their Practical English Exam. The course focuses on: - developing students' command of vocabulary with special reference to formal language registers, - understanding authentic texts while reading and paraphrasing, - improving the students' knowledge of English grammar and structures used at C1 level, - developing exam task-solving techniques. The course explores mainly such fields as: Grammatical tenses; nouns, agreement and articles; determiners and quantifiers; adverbs and adjectives; comparison; verb patterns; adverbial clauses; vocabulary: cities, urban development, personal histories, the arts, migrations, gender issues, health, media, the environment.

Metody i kryteria oceniania:	- two tests test – 1,2,3,5 - class participation – outcomes: 1,2,3,4,5,6 Final credit test in vocabulary and structures – 80% Classroom participation – 20%
