Course description The course offers an opportunity to improve selected techniques and strategies of effective learning at the academic level with observation, analysis, reflection as leading processes taking the students towards optimising their studying. |

Course objectives The objective of the course is to adjust the program to individual needs of a group and to focus on those learning strategies or techniques which are problematic and prevent students from achieving a more satisfactory level of learning effectiveness. The basic skill which will be developed is reflection on one's learning process and preparation to a strategic approach to different educational challenges. ----------------- Course content 1. recognising the strong points in the learning process 2. recognising learning styles 3. improving visual desing in presentations 4. improving reading skills 5. improving time management 6. improving memorising processes 7. improving stress management 8. overcoming writer's block 9. planning the learning process and exam preparation 10. reflection over the learning process --------------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity: power point presentations, group discussion, pair-work activities, individual reflective activities, report writing; ICT tools - MS Teams |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Forms of evaluation of learning outcomes: 1. Active participation - 40% of the final grade (outcome 1, 3, 4) 2. Up to 3 reports - 20% each of the final grade (outcome 1, 2, 4, 5) Criteria of evaluation: 60% = 3 80% = 4 100% = 5 pass at 60% of the final grade The students have a choice in report writing. The main topics are: Report 1 - My learning Style Report 2 - My time management skills Report 3 - My memorisation process Report 4 - Overcoming my writer's block Report 5 - Visual design in my presentations |
