Course description

This is a course designated to English and Italian Module. The course acquaints the student with the vocabulary and grammatical structures at A1 level compliant with the requirements of the European Language Education System. The students also learn about basic institutions and cultural aspects related to modern Italy.

Course objectives

The aim of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge of Italian (A1) in accordance with the European System for the Description of Languages ​​Education (CEFR): reading comprehension, listening comprehension, oral and written expression, taking into account the broadly understood cultural aspect (i.e. anthropological).

Course content

Lexical material (communication):

introducing yourself and getting to know others, meals (ordering dishes in a restaurant), free time, booking a hotel room, description of the place and date, going on vacation

Grammar material:

Pronunciation and spelling of words. Personal pronouns in the function of the subject. The verbs essere, avere. Intonation. Pronunciation and spelling of words. Singular and plural forms of definite and indefinite articles. Nouns and adjectives ending in -o, -a, -e in singular and plural. Negation. Three conjugations - examples. Compatibility of the adjective with the noun. Prepositions. Prepositions in front of country and city names. The verbs fare, andare, venire, sapere, volere, potere, dovere, conoscere, uscire and other irregular verbs. C’è, you sono. Che cosa c ’è? Dov 'è? Personal pronouns with prepositions (con me, per voi). A contracted form of prepositions (dell ', alla, nel). Demonstrating pronouns: quello, questo. I'm drunk, I'm drunk. The difference between buono, bene.

The past tense is passato prossimo. Adverbs of place. Adverbs of time. Differences: qualche, alcuni / e. Adverbs of time. Place the adverb in the sentence. Cardinal numerals. Interrogative pronouns quando, quale. Supreme degree of adjective (superlativo assoluto)
