Course description Students learn about appropriate usage of language in writing, including grammatical correctness and stylistic appropriateness, as well as text organization and structuring. The course focuses on supporting students with writing a BA research paper in academic style. |

Course objectives The course aims at developing academic writing skills necessary to skilfully write academic texts, including systematic research practices, using library sources, paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting sources to avoid plagiarism. --------------- Course content rhetorics, levels of formality, impersonal narration, complex sentence structures BA text organization working within the BA template -------------- Methods of instruction/ forms of classroom activity writing tasks, text analysis, discussion, ICT tools/MSTeams |
