Short description:

Course description

The course is designated to English and Polish as a Foreign Language elective module. It offers non-Polish students intensive practice in communication in Polish as a foreign language. Students also learn further aspects of the Polish language (vocabulary and grammar) at A2/B1 level. .

Full description:

Course objectives

• listening to short utterances (dialogues, short monologues), simple questions, hints and instructions,

• understanding the general content of short written texts,

• participating in simple communication situations, expressing basic intentions, brief information about oneself, the environment, other people, etc.,

• pronunciation of Polish sounds,

• writing learned words and sentences and short texts about everyday life.

Methods of teaching/forms of instruction:

communicative approach = work with authentic materials, practical exercises, dialogues, discussions in pairs and groups, simulations, role-plays, communication games and activities, pre-communication exercises, the use of various media, training in the development of individual skills, exercises with the information gap.
