Fundamental theology has been the main focus of my academic research for years. In its classic structure the discipline encompasses four topical sub-fields of study: theological locations, religiology, Christology and ecclesiology. Issues addressed within these branches determine the direction and remain the main area of research interest in my academic work.
The subject of my research within the realm of de locis theologicis are sources of theology, or “locations” (loci) from which theology draws its arguments and which provide crucial data for theological cognition. In this respect my specific interest lies in the broadly understood relationship between reason and faith (knowledge and faith) and the manner in which it is exemplified by the relationship between theology and the natural sciences.
