  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

The course in Commercial Law belongs to the Business English elective module. The students learn the basics of commercial law.

Full description:

Course objectives

presentation of the basic principles of business activity, main actors in the business sector and contracts in order to provide course participants with the most common contract provisions.

Main definitions of legal entity, legal personality, legal person, physical person and the terms links to commerce and commercial activity

Meaning of business, company, entrepreneur, consumer as actors in the market and how they are positioned

Forms of conducting business activity

Contracts and the elements of the contract - ananlysis of contracts provisions and clauses

IP law and publishing contracts , analysis of the parties legal standing
