Brief description
The course in a modern language "Lexical Encounters" as taught during the BA studies is a practical course, whose main aim is the extension of a student's lexical competence and communicative competence, especially within the following thematic frameworks: travel & holidays, work & employment, money and the ways of referring to it, problems and the ways of describing them in English, health & human body, food, restaurants, and cooking, education & learning. In principle, the work on the above-mentioned vocabulary ranges is performed at B2+ level (at least upper intermediate) on the basis of a world-renowned lexical-grammatical reference book.
