(tylko po angielsku) This seminar 4 for Applied Linguistics, Teachers’ training specialization is a continuation of seminar 3 on applied linguistics and its practical implementation (e.g. in first and second language learning and teaching). Primary attention is given to interpreting the outcomes of empirical studies, including students’ own research results, leading to formulating pertinent conclusions and implications. |

(tylko po angielsku) Course objectives Students are able to relate the general domain of applied linguistics research to their own research and its results. Students are able to synthesise linguistic theories. They are able to relate theoretical considerations and research study results to foreign/second language teaching. They perceive the limitations of research procedures. Course content is provided on the first meeting in the semester. |

(k-W-1/P7S_WG) in the advanced degree: - selected facts, objects and phenomena and relevant methods and linguistic theories, explaining complex dependencies between them, forming the advanced general knowledge in the field of philology, and forming its theoretical basis - structured and theoretically sound knowledge which includes key issues and selected issues in the scope of advanced detailed knowledge – the main trends of the development of scientific disciplines relevant to philology 2. (k-W-2/P7S_WG ) in an advanced degree, specificity of the subject and methodology of philological sciences, their latest achievements and directions of development 3. (k-W-4/P7S_WG ) advanced methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and culture products, within selected traditions, theories and research schools in linguistics, literature and culture studies Skills: a graduate can 4. (k-U-2/P7S_UW) formulate and analyse research problems, choose methods and tools for solving them, synthesize various ideas and viewpoints using knowledge of linguistics, literature and culture studies (with the possibility of taking into account the knowledge of related sciences) 5. (k-U-3/P7S_UW) carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of selected texts and works of culture appropriate for philosophy, using creative and original methods for the evaluation of their relevance and impact in the historical and cultural process Social competence: a graduate is ready to 6. k-K-1/P7S_KK) critically assess received contents, recognise the importance of knowledge of the language in solving cognitive practical problems |
