The course objectives:

Knowledge – student should know how to find literaturę, analyse thereotical framework and create research questions

Skills – student should design research project, conduct research project in practice and prepare report, which will be the base of BA Thesis

Competencies – student should be creative and critical

Providing students with a knowledge of the main theories applied to methodology of research in gender.

Teaching students how to analyze various cultural and social texts

Teaching students writing thesis and finally MA thesis.

Graduate knows and understands

k-W-4 - methods analysis and interpretation of texts and culture products from selected traditions, theories and research schools in linguistics, literature and cultural studies.

k-W-7 - rules of protection of intellectual and industrial copyright and the form of development of individual entrepreneurship

k-W-8 - struktures and functions of systems and institutions relevant to the scope of the professional activity appriopriate for philology (inter alia, in the fields of education, culture, media, translation or business service)

Skills: Graduate can:

k-U-7 plan and organize individual and team work

k-U-9 - use the knowledge and experience associated with the selected philological speciality (skills are presented in a seperate list of speciality learning outcomes)

Social competencies: Graduate is ready to

k-K-1 - critically assess their philological knowledge and recognition of the importance of knowledge of the language in solving cognitive practical problems

- Discussion on students’ reading

- evaluation of steps of research, especially research plan and research practice

- evaluation of the MA Thesis

Basic criteria;

Very good when student prepare content of MA thesis and analyse literature

Good when student prepare general content of MA thesis and analyse scientific literature

Grade 3 when student prepare content and do not read important articles/books for her/his MA thesis
