Knowledge Graduate knows and understands: 1. academic forms of writing used for writing BA thesis: quotation, summary, paraphrase; advanced forms of opinion essay, expository essay, argumentative essay, synthesis. (k-W-4, P6S_WG) Skills Graduate can: 2. use proper English, grammatical and syntactical structures, together with advanced vocabulary and phraseology, both in summaries and paraphrases used for writing BA thesis. (k-U-1, P6S_UW) 3. achieve coherence, clarity of meaning, and varied, attractive linguistic expression at advanced level used for writing BA thesis. (k-U-2,P6S_UW) 4. write selected parts of BA thesis with the application of formal guidelines and proper stylistic and linguistic elements. (k-U-3,P6S_UW) Social competences Graduate is ready to: 5. use their writing skills to describe the results of their research and literature review. Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Methods of evaluation: 1) 70% - 2 summaries and 2 paraphrases written in class (outcomes: 1, 2,3,4,5,6) 2) 30% 2 grammatical tests written in class (outcomes: 1,2) --- Criteria of evaluation: grade 2,0 (fail): 0–59% grade 3,0 (average): 60–68% grade 3,5 (plus average): 69–76% grade 4,0 (good): 77–84% grade 4,5 (plus good): 85–92% grade 5,0 (very good): 93–100% |
